Riverside Amphitheater & Levee Project

CLIENT: CITY OF CEDAR RAPIDS

Project Description: Anderson Bogert served as the lead engineer for the design of a new river-front amphitheater along the Cedar River. This urban renewal project is the first segment of a comprehensive west side flood management system, with room for an outdoor event space. The amphitheater is anticipated to host eight national touring concerts and 20 ticketed events per year with up to 57,300 total annual attendance.

Total cost for the amphitheater, levee, and parking areas is estimated at $6.8 million. Construction was completed in 2013.
