Morgan Creek Trail – From Worcester Rd to Covington Rd

LOCATION: Cedar Rapids, Linn County, IA

CLIENT: Linn County Conservation

PROJECT SUMMARY: 

  • Project included a HMA trail along with grading and storm water management.
  • Right-of-way constraints required the construction of a pedestrian bridge between two overhead IA 100 highway bridges within Iowa DOT right-of-way.
  • The location of the bridge required coordination with the Iowa Department of Transportation and City of Cedar Rapids.
  • The trail traversed nearly two miles of Linn County land along State, County, and City owned roadways and partially utilized an existing railroad embankment.
  • Construction administration/observation was provided for this federally funded project.
