Mehaffey Bridge Boat Ramp Trail

LOCATION: North Liberty, Johnson County, IA

CLIENT: Johnson County Secondary Roads

PROJECT SUMMARY: 

  • Designed a share-use paved trail to connect an existing trail on the northwesterly side of Mehaffey Bridge Road at Cedar Springs Drive to the boat ramp near Mehaffey Bridge over Coralville Reservoir. Design included a 14′ x 10′ box culvert under Mehaffey Bridge Rd and multiple retaining walls.
  • After the conclusion of the design, Anderson Bogert performed construction observation and construction administration in accordance with Iowa DOT Specification.
  • Included major retaining walls.
  • Field survey included survey control, topographic surveys, and construction survey of right-of-way staking and monument preservation.
