Chandler Street – 18th St to 16th Ave

LOCATION: Cedar Rapids, IA

CLIENT: City of Cedar Rapids

PROJECT SUMMARY: 

• Designed a complete roadway reconstruction on Chandler Street form 10th Avenue to the 20th Street intersection. Partial rehabilitation/reconstruction from 18th Street to 10th Avenue. Design also included a sidewalk connectivity along 16th Avenue SW between 18th Street SW to 20th Street SW and from 16th Avenue SW along 20th Street to the Jefferson Street High School entrance.
• Design improvements included, but not limited to:
  • Reconstruction/upsizing of the City’s storm sewer.
  • Reconstruction of City’s water main.
  • Rehabilitation and restoration of sanitary sewer structures and pipes.
  • Reconstruction of Jefferson High School softball access facilities to ADA compliance.
